Course Description

Electronic Music Performance is a practical course that explores how to develop and perform electronic music live, focusing on artistic expression, stage presence and connection with the audience.

You will learn how to transform your productions, ideas and sound materials into a live performance. We will explore different strategies and tools to design a personal and flexible live setup, using Ableton Live and other instruments or devices that can enrich your performance.

At a time when releasing music exclusively on streaming platforms is becoming increasingly difficult and impersonal, live performance offers an opportunity to create unique experiences and establish a direct connection with the audience. The course encourages experimentation with different ways of performing electronic music and finding your own way of being and expressing yourself on stage.

The course will conclude with a two-hour collective performance, on a date agreed with the group, where you will be able to put into practice what you have learned and present your own proposal in a real performance context. Maximum 6 students.

• It is recommended to bring your own Windows or Mac laptop

• Having Ableton Live installed is recommended

• You can bring your own instruments, controllers or tools to enrich your performance

• No previous live performance experience is required
